Tufted Titmouse

Tufted Titmice love backyard bird feeders! They love sunflower seeds.

Description: 

  • Tufted Titmice have a black forehead and gray crest with a pale gray face.

  • They have a small black bill. 

  • They have gray backs and wings with white underneath and rusty brown colored flanks or sides.


Food:

  • Insects, seeds, fruits. Forages in trees. 


Habitat:

  • Prefers trees and inhabits mixed woodlands.


Preferred Nest:

  • Nest in cavities.

More Facts:

  • Most Titmice live their entire life within just a couple miles of their birthplace.

  • They do not migrate.
