Homeschool Bird Walk Series

Hands-on outdoor learning led by a local birding expert

The Homeschool Bird Walk Series brings students outdoors to explore birds, habitats, and seasonal changes through guided field experiences. Each walk encourages curiosity, observation, and connection to nature in a relaxed, engaging setting.

All homeschool bird walks are personally led by Charles, founder of Holy City Birding.

📍 Locations We Explore

Locations are selected based on season, bird activity, and group needs.

What Students Will Learn

  • How to observe and identify common local birds

  • Bird behavior and seasonal patterns

  • Local habitats and conservation basics

  • How to explore nature safely and respectfully

Each walk encourages questions, movement, and hands-on learning.

Continue the Learning

After completing a bird walk or series, families can continue exploring birds through the Kids Birding Club — a year-long program featuring monthly bird themes, outdoor challenges, and collectible rewards that keep kids engaged at home and in their community.
