New to birding? This guided experience is designed to help you get started in a relaxed and approachable way. We’ll explore beautiful Hampton Park, one of Charleston’s best locations for beginner birding. With easy walking paths, a variety of colorful birds, and a comfortable pace, it’s the perfect place to learn the basics of birdwatching. Perfect for Charleston visitors, families, and anyone looking to build confidence identifying birds with a local guide. Along the way, you’ll learn how to find birds, use binoculars, and identify common species by sight and sound while enjoying one of Charleston’s most beautiful parks. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and follows flat, easy walking paths throughout the park. No prior birding experience is needed. Binoculars are included, and I’ll share helpful tips and techniques throughout the tour to build your confidence and bird identification skills. Each participant will receive a Holy City Birding embroidered patch. What to Expect * Beginner-friendly, no experience needed * Learn how to use binoculars and find birds * Identify common birds by sight and sound * Easy walking pace on flat paths * Small group setting (maximum 6 participants) Tours are limited to six participants to keep the experience relaxed, personal, and interactive.
