Hampton Park Birding Tour

Tour Description

Join us for a guided birding experience in Hampton Park, one of Charleston’s most beautiful and bird-rich city parks. With mature trees, open fields, and diverse habitat, the park attracts a wide variety of species throughout the year. This relaxed, easy walk is ideal for spotting colorful songbirds while also keeping an eye out for raptors and other seasonal visitors. The peaceful setting and shaded paths make it a great option for both beginners and experienced birders. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and begins at the main parking lot at 30 Mary Murray Drive. We will explore different areas of the park at a comfortable pace, focusing on active bird areas and seasonal highlights. Each participant will receive a Holy City Birding patch. Binoculars are recommended, and rentals are available if needed. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.
