From 75 US dollars

Tour Description

Join us for a guided birding experience along the West Ashley Greenway, one of Charleston’s most diverse birding locations. This unique corridor features a mix of woodlands, maritime forest, salt marsh, and tidal creeks, creating excellent habitat for a wide variety of species. Throughout the year, the Greenway attracts shorebirds, wading birds, songbirds, woodpeckers, raptors, and more. The diversity of habitats makes each walk a little different, with new opportunities depending on the season. This tour follows a flat, former railway path and covers approximately 1.5 miles round trip at a relaxed pace. The walk lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Each participant will receive a Holy City Birding patch. Binoculars are recommended, and rentals are available if needed. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Seasonal Highlight During certain times of year, this area is also home to sought-after species like Painted Buntings and Roseate Spoonbills. If you’re looking for a more targeted experience, check out our seasonal specialty tours.
